The Road less Traveled

“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”

John 14:2

We understand this Scripture and also the reason the road to heaven is less traveled.  It is a very difficult journey, Jesus tells us that, He makes no bones about it, we have been forewarned for He is “Truth” and no lie proceeds out of His mouth.  In the same way He tells us of the riches awaiting us in the mansions He has prepared for us. Eternal life in heaven with God the Father, and Jesus His Son!

What glorious hope and expectation we have of traveling this road for our destination is assured, although incomprehensible to our human minds!

Yes, I have found through this life, as have you, the going gets very tough. But did Jesus not ascend into heaven so He could send us the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, to live within us with power to make our travel possible? Yes He did, and we enjoy His fulfilling each day.  Possibly due to a lack of understanding some may not have experienced His presence and very sufficient help in our times of struggle, but He is there to comfort and protect us. As our walk with the Lord takes on some maturity we begin to experience and enjoy more of His presence.

When we fail to study God’s promises and assurances we deny ourselves the knowledge to understand how and why the Comforter is so important. As we pray for wisdom from the Holy Spirit He will provide the understanding we need to accept His glorious promises. When the trials come and our faith is tested, then His power will assist us and make our way clear. He lives within these vessels that God has prepared so that we may have victory in our lives daily, our problem many times is that we don’t rely on that power to sustain us in our times of trouble.

Our complete Hope is in the name of the Lord, depend on Him for He is all sufficient to make our journey successful, glorious and worth all the pain we experienced on the way!

“For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.”

Peter 2:21
