More serious beginning

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

2 Peter 3:18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

Isaiah 6:5 Then I said, “Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.”

Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;

The beginning of my walk with the Lord began when I was spiritually born again at the age of 14. I did not become serious with Him until I was 47 and recommitted my life to the Lord. Well I was born again,  but I did not really get it all as soon as I thought I would, and still haven’t. I was reading the Word, going to church,  and then joined a Sunday school class. I am not easily intimidated, but I sure was in that class.  From my flesh birth until my spiritual birth I messed up a lot and God wasn’t going to straighten me out over night. The Lord came along side of me with the help of several others, and I truly did began to grow in Christ.  I didn’t have a vision like Isaiah, and see it all at once, but over time God became more and more awesome to me. I slowly learned I could not walk the narrow path Jesus tells me without knowing what and how to do it, and that knowledge and wisdom comes from His written Word and prayer. I did not become prosperous like some may think when reading Joshua 1:8, but I became more prosperous in more important ways. As the years flew by I learned to trust my Lord and His Word more and more. Studying His Word by myself and with others has shown me how accurate and trust worthy His Word is. It has also helped me know more about Him and myself. Like Isaiah noted in his vision, compared to the Lord I look pretty bad. I am thankful that as long as I love God, trust Him, and obey Him as best as I humanly can, there is no condemnation for me. Thank you Jesus,

Rom 8:1  Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
