Matthew 22:37-40  And He said to him, ” ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ “This is the great and foremost commandment. “The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ “On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
John 8:10-11. Straightening up, Jesus said to her, “Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more.”]
Luke 6:37Â “Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned.
Before Faye and I re-committed our lives to Jesus, I felt we were good neighbors, but love them? I would not go that far. I did not know a good definition for love at that time. I did not even know a proper definition of friend. But as time went on several proved they were good friends. Jesus is now my personal best definition of love and friend ship. He is Love and everything He has done, is doing, and will do is because of His love for me, remember John 3:16? More and more as I have talked to Jesus, read His Word, and listened to good Godly counseling, I came to realize to properly love others, my love for Him needs to increase. Remember John the Baptist statement, “He must increase, but I must decrease.†One of the reasons Jesus came to earth was to be a perfect example for us. In the flesh I cannot be perfect like Him, but am I not supposed to work to be as much like Him as possible? Jesus loves everyone, He wants me to do the same. He even told me to love my enemies and even pray for them. He forgives every one that repents and seeks it. He did not condemn any one, nor did He judge them, but He will someday. The bible is very clear about what the will Of the Lord is for me as I live in this flesh. One will of God is to love my neighbors. The Word teaches I am part of the body of Christ, and He wants to use me to help Him accomplish His mission of reconciliation.
Galatians 6:10Â So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
Lord, when I first came to Zephyrhills, two of my objectives, which I asked Your help for was, to grow in my Love for You, and others. You have answered that prayer, but there is still room for growth so please continue.
