“Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.â€
 Matthew 18:3
Do we come before Jesus as little children and surrender our whole heart and lives to Him? This takes much faith and courage, let alone deep commitment, but this is what God asks of us, this is true obedience to the will of the Father, Jesus gave His life to be obedient to Him!
Where do we get the strength to make this commitment? It is found in our dependence on the power of the Holy Spirit that lives within us. He gives us the will and desires to live a life of obedience and the strength to resist Satan when temptation confronts us. Oh, if we could only comprehend all that He has provided for us to be the obedient children He longs to love and enjoy!
As parents it is such joy to our hearts when our children are obedient, we just want to love and bless them in any way we can. Can we even begin to understand how it pleases the heavenly Father when we respond the same way to His commandments? His love for us is incomprehensible to our finite minds, and what we do understand truly overwhelms us. I have read in my search for knowledge that; “It is the one who is willing to be emptied, to become a servant, and is willing to be humbled before God and man to whom the obedience of Jesus will unfold its beauty and power!â€Â Is that a great statement or what?
Oh, there is so much to learn we cannot contain it all! I am reminded of verse 6 in Psalm 139; “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain it.†Have you found also, that God’s wisdom is unfathomable?
