John 1:1Â In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14Â And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Luke 1:28Â But He said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”
John 12:48 “He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word is what will judge him at the last day.
My awe and reverence for the Word of God did not begin to fully awaken in me until after I re committed my Life to God. My belief in, and trust of the Word was unwrapped in me, and grew in influence over the years. As His truth grew stronger, I sometimes wondered, why am I taking so long, why am I so hard headed. I think God wanted me to experience how He was changing me at a pace I could learn from, could appreciate, and be thankful for. Also my experience with Him in the process would be beneficial helping others in the future. If I had not been in the Word by myself, and with others, and submissive to the Lord, what I described above would not have been possible. The written word as I studied it, over and over again, kept proving to me the authenticity of His Word. How could it be otherwise, after all, the Creator of everything was the Word, He inspired the written Word, the Word became flesh, and died for me. 365 prophesies in the old testament predicted in detail the coming of Jesus. The prophesies given to Daniel covering a 400 plus years of time up to Jesus in the flesh, came true in minute detail. There are others besides these. Every prophesy came true except for those just before and when Jesus comes. As a believer, and follower of Christ, why should I not want to know and be obedient to the Word of God? What will happen if I am not? I would be judged by the Word of God.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
2 Timothy 3:17 So that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
Revelation 19:13Â He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
Lord, thank you for your Word, and for helping me grow in the knowledge of you
