THE TWEETED BIBLE

Text: And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us. Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:27-29)

Tweet: Supreme Court rules that the state cannot only breach the wall of separation between itself and the church, but can also revoke the church’s free exercise of religion and abrogate its right to freedom of assembly. How much longer will it be before our Supreme Court, like the Sanhedrin, the Jewish Supreme Court in New Testament times, outlaws the church’s preaching of Christ (Acts 4:18-20)? When it does, will you be like Peter and John, willing to defy the court rather than deny Christ? Although most contemporary Christians will find it impossible to believe, the day is soon coming in this country when they will have to choose whether to obey Christ’s Great Commission or Supreme Court commandments.
