THE TWEETED BIBLE

Text: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. (Romans 8:26-27)

Text: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (Ephesians 6:18)

Text: Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. (Zechariah 4:6)

Tweet: There is no foolproof formula to be followed in prayer. The only way to effectively pray is in the Spirit (Ephesians 6:18); that is, as the Spirit burdens and leads you to pray. All human instruction on prayer, will prove to be a poor substitute for the Holy Spirit in your prayer closet.
To replace the leadership of the Holy Spirit in your prayer life with any patented formula for prayer is to rob your prayers of their potency. All who foolishly do so will end up spiritually shortchanged, as well as with a prayer life that is more frustrating than fruitful. Whether we’re talking about prayer or anything else in the Christian life, we must always remember the scriptural admonition that it cannot be successfully done in our strength, but only in the power of God’s Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).
