Not only does the Apostle Paul teach that the Bible, God’s divinely inspired Word, “is profitable for doctrine,” but he also teaches it is needed “for reproof” and “for correction” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Bible is not only our standard for faith, but also for practice. It teaches us what to believe, as well as how to behave.

The Bible reproves us when we sin. It reprimands us when we are willfully obstinate. It also corrects us when we are mistaken. It rectifies all of our wrong opinions.
