AUGUST 12

Unbeknownst to many Christians in the world today, modern-day translators have several advantages over the 15th century translators of the King James Version of the Bible. Some examples are:

  1. Increased scholarship and research
  2. The discovery of better and older manuscripts; such as, the Sinaitic, Vatican, and Alexandrian
  3. And archeological discoveries like the Dead Sea Scrolls.

With these advantages over the King James translators, modern-day translators are able to arrive at a biblical text that is even closer to what the divinely inspired authors of Scripture actually wrote. Therefore, no one should hesitate to take advantage of modern-day translations in their study of God’s Word. Although all are not equal, almost all can be helpful.
