Having followed our treatment of the important subjects of revelation, illumination and inspiration with an emphasis upon the importance; indeed, the necessity, of the doctrine of biblical inerrancy, we now turn our attention in todayâ€™s devotion to the mountain of evidence that proves the Bibleâ€™s claim to be the divinely inspired and inerrant Word of God.
Contrary to popular opinion, to believe the Bibleâ€™s claim about itself does not require you to screw out your brain and throw it away. It doesnâ€™t demand a blind leap of faith into the illogical and unbelievable. Instead, to believe the Bibleâ€™s claim is made both reasonable and believable by a mountain of corroborating evidence. Over the next few days we will look at the evidence for the Bibleâ€™s reliability.
