Today is Thanksgiving, a day when most Americans will pause and give thanks for what they have. They will surround themselves with family and friends, for one special day. Then they will return to their lives, gone will be the family, friends and the thankfulness for another three hundred and sixty four days.
But as Christians we can be thankful all the days of year. Remembering we are blessed, keeping family and friends close. So that all of us can share in the glory and richness of our lord for the entire year.
We also need to use this time to share the gospel. The one day out of the year we will have the opportunity to speak to some people. Praying that god will once again show us the miracle of salvation.
Dear Lord: On this special day give me the opportunity to share the gospel, the time to be able to speak boldly in your name. I am forever thankful that you went to the cross to die for my sins. So that someday I may join you and your father in heaven.
