This month I would like to write devotions from the book of Ephesians. The epistle to the church in Ephesus was written by the apostle Paul from the infamous Maritime prison in Rome. The prison epistles were Paul’s last letters to the churches and to individuals who would continue the work he had started.

Specifically we will be reading and studying Ephesians 6: 10-24. Apart of the book that talks about who are adversaries are in this world. How we can be protected and armed against them. Finally Paul’s final words to the church in Ephesus.

In these trouble times we need to study these diligently so as believers we can boldly go forth proclaiming the gospel.

Dear Lord: Give each of us an insight into your word. The wisdom to understand and apply your words to our lives, so we may be a better witness in this world. Allowing us to stand boldly in the gap as Paul did, even while being held in prison.

In Jesus name we pray amen.
