Ephesians

Ephesians 6:11 (KJV)
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Paul new that as believers we must be protected from the cunning of the devil. The only way this can be accomplished is by donning the full armor of God.

The devil is an enticing creature that will use are very senses against us. He will lure us through the sense of sight. Showing us the best food, beautiful people, the fastest cars, and the list can go on. We are tempted to try maybe a little but before we know it we are trapped in a downward spiral pulling us away from God himself. Sight is only one of the many traps the devil will use and we have to be wary because the things we see seem harmless enough and some are unless carried to excess.

This is one of the devils greatest lies “A little bit will not hurt”. But a little leads to a little more and before we know it we have lost the battle. Losing a spiritual battle will kill our witness and make us ineffective for the cause of Christ.

Dear Lord: Give me the courage to don the full armor of God. To be able to stand in the gap and be a witness for you.

In Jesus name I pray amen
