Marilyn Ducharme gave us her favorite verses.
John 14:1-4,6 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. …Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
There are so many Scriptures in the Bible that are special to me. However, John 14 draws me so often. In trying to put into words and on paper why this is so, I find it hard, very hard to explain.
Perhaps the Spirit has a purpose for drawing me here. “Let not your heart be troubled” spoken by Jesus says to me that He will be with me during those times of trouble; that He himself, will be a comfort to me and will keep me.
Looking back, I am reassured that He will always be with me in this journey as He has proved in the past. In the future, I am confident that all will be well because He has promised in His Word that He has prepared a place for me and that Jesus, Himself, will welcome me there. How do I know this? Jesus said so – He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and only through Him can we go to the Father. He said it, I believe it and that’s enough for me!
