NASB Translation

At the beginning of my new life with Jesus, sometimes what I heard about gifts of the Spirit confused me. I’ve already written about that. It was also true about fruit of the Spirit. I did know all goodness, righteousness, and truth was possible only because of the Lord, and came to us by Him. The word fruit is used in the bible with different meanings, but the fruit I am writing about here is the fruit God is giving me that has changed and is changing me. He has turned me from an unusable person by Him into someone more able to be used by Him. God has been increasing the volume and quality of His fruit in me since I truly began my submission to Him. My experience is the closer I get to the Lord, the more He uses what he has, and is giving me. Many Christian brothers and sisters in Christ believe fruit of the Spirit is bringing people to Jesus. This is true, and what Jesus wants, but I cannot be very effective in this for Him, if I don’t use the gifts, and fruit he has blessed me with. I cannot walk in a manner worthy of Him if my character doesn’t reflect all of the fruit He has planted within me.

Jesus, You have, and are preparing me to be an instrument of Yours, use me as you desire.
