NASB TranslationÂ
Based on the word of God above I am supposed to love everyone as far as people and God are concerned, no exceptions, except Satan and his demons. This seems to be a very difficult assignment given by the Lord, but it is very clear and simple to understand. The only possible block to His commandments to me, would to be disobedience to Him. There can be no self-deceit, rationalizing, tiredness, laziness, old age, procrastination, etc. that would be considered an excuse. Well I am human and He knows it, so mistakes, or unintended lapses in my efforts to love, can be forgiven by Him, if I confess them, and repent. Loving everyone, and praying for them seem an impossible task, and would be without my love for Him. Jesus said in John 14:31 so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me. That is the only way I can prove my love for Him is doing what He tells me to. Whatever He tells me to do He will provide the means to obey Him.
