Hosea

Hosea 1:1 (KJV)
1 The word of the LORD that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

Hosea prophesied for about 60 years and watched the decimation of the 10 tribes of the northern kingdom and the carrying off of the two tribes of the southern kingdom. All of these things he prophesied during his lifetime. Hosea lived during some of Israel’s darkest hours and attempted to warn the people of the forthcoming judgment of God.

Today we are living in some of the darkest hours this world has ever seen and as with Hosea the men of God are not being heard. They are being scoffed at and ridiculed, false idols are being worshipped.  How much longer can God withhold his judgment from the world?

Dear Lord: I know your judgment upon this earth is coming soon. I just ask for a little more time to be able to reach more people for you. To be able to share the Gospel more effectively and reach the hearts of those you have prepared to receive the truth of Jesus. For you are the only one who can truly save a person for an eternity with you.

In Jesus name we pray amen
