Hosea 5:8-15 (KJV)
8 Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Bethaven, after thee, O Benjamin.
9 Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.
10 The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
11 Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.
12 Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.
13 When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.
14 For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.
15 I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
The ten northern tribes were to be totally obliterated by the Assyrians. The tribe of Judah would try to form an alliance with the Assyrians that would protect them from invasion. By paying tribute to the Assyrians they only delayed the inevitable. The entire Jewish race would be destroyed and carried off by one country or another. The lord would withdraw his hand and until in their affliction the people repented God would not protect them.
The United States is being obliterated by political correctness. Even the modern day church is moving away from Jesus’ gospel to a softer more tolerant form that allows each person to view Jesus as they please. Christians in name only are changing the gospel so it fits their life instead of changing their life to fit the gospel. As God finally removed his hand from the tribe of Judah he will remove his hand from this country. When we finally repent as a people God may pull us out of our misery and affliction but until then we will not be protected by God as the tribe of Judah was left to their own demise.
Dear Lord: I know as a people my country has run away from you. I know there is little time left for them to repent if they will. Lord my prayer is that as a church and individuals we are able to reach more people for you. Not caving into society but standing firm on the gospel and our belief in you.
In Jesus name I pray amen.
