Today is Veterans Day, a day set aside to honor those who served our country. In the wide eyed exuberance of youth we went to war to defend the freedoms of our country. Some served before me and some after most do not want to go again as the wisdom of age sets in. Yet if called to once again serve most would leave loved ones and home to defend the freedoms so many have fought for. Especially the freedom to worship the one true God and be able to proclaim the gospel throughout this land, to be able to write about God and country. To proclaim the truth that is self-evident all men can come to the Lord Jesus Christ and spend an eternity with him.
I thank my comrades in arms for the opportunity to be able to preach as I God leads me. It is not the politicians who saved my freedoms but the men who served. I salute each and every one of you.
Dear Lord: Thank you for giving the opportunity to just a few of the men and women who fought for my freedoms. To know every time I step into the pulpit to preach some are t6here to listen. Allow me to reach more of my brothers and sisters in arms so they too can know the grace of God and have an opportunity to spend an eternity with you.
In Jesus name I pray amen.
