Ephesians 4:1 “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.”  I Thessalonians 2:12 says, “that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.”  How do we walk worthy of this calling?  Called into the kingdom of God through the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus.  What a high calling.  We are new people with a new position.  We have been called to serve God and glorify Him.  We are lifted from our past into a new and glorious walk.  Walking with the Creator.  Walking worthy as a child of God.  A whole new family is ours.  A whole new path to trod.  A brand new life to live.  Romans 12:1,1 says that we are to present our bodies as a living sacrifice to God.  We can be changed by the renewing of our minds.  We are a new creation, therefore, we think differently.  Instead of thinking about ourselves, we think about God and His ways.  We lift our eyes to higher standards, to a higher calling.  We are to walk worthy of this.  It can only be done by yielding constantly to the Holy Spirit for His instruction and leading.  If our thinking, priorities and desires have not changed, maybe we know nothing of Calvary love, as Amy Carmichael says.
