“WALK IN WISDOM”

Colossians 4:5 “Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.”  Real, eternal wisdom is all about knowing God.  James says if we lack wisdom we can ask God.  Why is that?  Because God is wisdom and He freely gives to those who ask.  The Bible says that those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens.  The more we absorb the Scriptures and allow it to penetrate our hearts and minds and spirit, the better we can know God, Who is wisdom.  Every day we need wisdom to know what decisions to make, what direction to go and what to get involved doing.  To know God in an intimate way is to have His wisdom.  The decisions and the problems will work out for His glory in our lives when His wisdom abounds.  James also says “Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.”  It takes the wisdom of God to speak to sinners to show them the truth of their sin and God’s forgiveness.  If we keep God central in our thoughts, we can discern order and design in a seemingly chaotic world.  There will continue to be things we cannot comprehend.  But we can trust God’s wisdom to lead us to worship Him and walk closely in His ways wisely.  God is still in control even when the doubts come.  God is in control every moment of every day.  Walk in wisdom and trust Him.
