Micah 6:8   Micah tells us that God has shown us what is good and what He requires of us.  So, what is it?  We are to do justly.  Do the right thing.  Live honestly.  Then we are to love mercy.  Oh, yes, mercy, how we need mercy.  Mercy is not getting what we deserve.  It is by God’s mercies that we are not consumed because His compassions fail not.  Great is His faithfulness.  If it is God’s mercy and God’s faithfulness, then what do we have to be proud about?  That’s why He says “walk humbly” knowing that it is He who gives us mercy.  It is He who leads us in the right paths.  It is He who works through us.  It is He who blesses us with so many good things.  It is He who takes us through those dark days.  It is He who comforts us.  It is He who provides for us.  It is He who strengthens us.  It is He who quickens our mortal bodies that we may live and walk with Him.  It is He who blesses others through us.  It is He who deserves all the praise and glory.  It is He who keeps us from falling.  It is He who lifts us up.  It is He who made us and not we ourselves.  It is He who changes lives.  It is not about us, it is all about Him.

II Chronicles 7:14 reminds us that as God’s people who are called by His Name will humble ourselves and pray, THEN God will hear from heaven and forgive our sin and heal our land.  If we walk humbly with God, will we see revival in our churches and our country?
