Why are we happier when we give than when we receive? Because God has given us so much. “Every good and perfect gift is from above…†James1:17 There isn’t anything good in our lives that God hasn’t given to us. The more we realize that, the more we are motivated to be generous to others. It also makes us happy to give because of the wonderful satisfaction that comes with blessing others.
         Think of all the people who will cross your path this spring and look for opportunities to give encouragement to someone who is depressed, to support someone who has financial or medical problems or to visit someone who is lonely.
         If there is a time when we are feeling ‘down’, it raises our spirits to give generously and sacrificially of our resources and our time because we have received so much from God.Â
