John 17:22 (KJV)

And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

Jesus was given the glory of righteousness by living a perfect. Jesus gives believers the glory of righteousness through faith in Jesus.

Jesus was given the glory of the cross. The world looks upon the cross as painful and horrible end to life yet Jesus death on the cross was a new beginning. The glory of the cross gives the believer both forgiveness of sins and the privilege of serving God Himself: the privilege of sacrificing all he is and has to God in order to reach a lost and desperate world.

The glory of the resurrection gave Jesus a victory over death and hell. The Glory of the resurrection gives the believer a new life in Jesus.

The glory of the ascension and exaltation were given to Jesus so he could return to the father and intercede for all believers. The glory of the ascension and exaltation gives the believer the opportunity to live eternally in the presence of God.

The glory that Jesus gave every believer is life itself an opportunity while we still live in this fallen world to share the gospel. To always be aware when others hearts are softened so we can share the glory of god that was given each of us.

Dear Lord:

Give every opportunity to share the gospel. So that others may share in the glory that your son has given to me. Giving each individual the opportunity to avoid a sinful death and pass directly into your presence.

In Jesus name we pray amen.
