“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.” (Romans 1.18 ESV)

Today’s Scripture is very relevant.  We live in a society that expects all people to conform to its expectations- no matter how illogical or dangerous.  In the reasoning of this world the “tolerant” will not tolerate intolerance from those who disagree with them.  Unfortunately for the vast majority of modern society this worldly wisdom will come at a price.  This “wisdom” and its natural conclusion is sin.  Such sin will be met with the “wrath of God.”

As we go through life we can see stark contrasts between what God has proscribed as good and what is commonly accepted as good in modern society (though previous ages were not much better, if better at all).

However, the sinful drive of this world is not content with just doing its “dirty deeds.”  This world seeks to snuff out the message of Christ.  It fully opposes the Gospel.

We have a choice to make. We can choose to try to get along with a world that hates the very Gospel that gives us life, or we can choose to oppose the world and walk with Christ no matter the cost.  Yes, the cost may be great.  Truly, the cost was great to save is in the first place.  It was the death of the King.
