Luke 15:21 – 23 The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I’m no longer worthy to be called your son.’ “But the father told his slaves, ‘Quick! After our marriage Faye worked at Indiana & Michigan Electric Company for a short Time, and then at Bendix Missile plant in Mishawaka Indiana for 12 years with a top secret clearance. I was employed with several companies, then settled in with Redi-Froz Frozen Food Company, in South Bend In. Over the years I also worked in 2 other divisions of Redi-Froz , Gary In, then Evansville In., for a total of 20 years. We continued along about the same as described in May, 9th. devotional, except we eventually dropped out of church altogether. I mentioned this before but it is important, no one ever asked me to join a bible study, Sunday school class, one on one study or any thing else that could have helped me to grow in Christ. This continued for about 10 years until our son Jeff was born, we were 29 years old. Jeff was dedicated to the Lord as a baby at Portage Chapel Methodist Church.
Looking back on the last 32 years of growth in Christ, after recommitting our lives to Him at age 47. I wonder what difference could it have made in our growth and effectiveness for the Lord, how much more work could I have done for Him if some Godly person or persons would have come along side, to help keep me on track and grow in the wisdom of God. No way to tell, only God knows, and He has forgiven me, it’s water over the dam, over and done with. How many sins did I commit, how many sins of omission did others commit by not helping me in the way? I can only imagine how God felt about us coming back to seek Him, But I know how I feel since we have.Â
What really matters now is what do I do with the day He has given me today, and all the days He has ordained for me in the future. We all need to be in obedience to Jesus.Â
Mat 28:19 20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Â
