For a few years Faye and I attended, and then became members of Portage Chapel United Methodist church where we were married. We enjoyed our friends while there and enjoyed the fellowship, but nothing really changed in our spiritual life. There is nothing really wrong with having good fellowship and fun with our friends as long as it does not keep us from a proper relationship with God. As I remember it now, the Sunday service began by someone reading a verse or two, and then the Pastor preaching mostly psychological or self help messages. Every once in a while I was convicted about something, so maybe a spiritual message was offered now and then, but with out much effect on me. I look back with more wisdom now about how little I was pleasing the Lord, but at that time I was right in there with the rest of them. I am not trying to judge them, that is for the Lord to do. I donâ€™t want to be to harsh on that congregation because I was just as bad, maybe worse. The question I have in my mind is, are we any better today? It appears we might be worse.
After many years of mistakes, trials, tribulations and the consequences of them. I have come to the same conclusion as Solomon did. Â

What would happen if Jesus visited us as he did John? Would He say â€œonly a few of you are worthy to walk in white with Meâ€ How many that claim to be disciples Jesus would end up with the ruler (Satan) of the world, How many would Jesus spit out of His mouth?
