Earlier, I asked you, What Do You Call Jesus?  Now, I ask you:  What Will You Do With Jesus?

Centuries ago, Pilate asked the Jewish religious leaders, “What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?”  Matthew 27:22.  That is the most important question you can ever answer.

Everyone has to answer that question.   There is no other choice.  Sooner or later, you MUST make a decision.  There are only two options; either you accept Jesus as your Lord and Master or you will be left with Satan as your master.

Jesus said, in John 14:6: “I am the way, the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me”.  Choosing Jesus is to choose life.  If you choose not to accept Him, you have only opted for death….eternal fire in hell.

It seems like a simple question:  Do you choose life or death?   Why then do millions of people ignore the question or evade answering?  Don’t they know the consequence of their answer?  Do they think they have lots of time to make a decision?  Have they not been told the way to eternal life?  Probably all of the above!

Joshua told the Israelites that they had to make a choice.  “Choose you this day whom you will serve.”  Then he asserted, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”  Joshua 24:15  (my paraphrase.)  We absolutely must make that choice today.  In II Corinthians 6:2, we are told “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation”.  The choice must be made now, before it is too late.  Not accepting Jesus and life means you have made the choice for death.

The choice is so clear, so plain…!  In a court of law, one must plead Guilty or Innocent.  However, there are other choices….by reason of insanity, no contest, etc.  That is not true of the plea God has asked us to make.  Either, we choose Jesus and life or we refuse Him and we will die.  That choice is for eternity. Nobody else can make the choice for you.  Not your Mother or Father, nor your grandparents, nor your Pastor….you must answer for yourself!

I like the way Albert Simpson said it years ago in the hymn: What Will You Do With Jesus?

Jesus is standing in Pilate’s hall,                                          Jesus is standing on trial still,

Friendless, forsaken, betrayed by all;                                 You can be false to Him if you will,

Hearken! What meaneth the sudden call?                         You can be faithful through good or ill:

What will you do with Jesus?                                                What will you do with Jesus?

Refrain:  What will you do with Jesus?

Neutral you cannot be;

Someday your heart will be asking,

What will He do with me?
