You are God’s child, a part of his family. “I will be a Father to you and you will be my sons and daughters.” 2 Corinthians (NIV)
“You are who you are for a reason.
You are part of an intricate plan.
You are a precious and perfect unique design,
Called God’s special child.
You look like you do for a reason.
Our God made no mistake.
He knit you together in the womb,
You are just what he wanted.”
(excerpts from a poem by Russell Kelfer)
“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called children of God” 1 John 3:1(NIV)
No matter what you look like, no matter how old you are, no matter what secrets you may have in the past, when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior you are “a new creation. The old is gone and the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)
Who am I in Christ?*
I am accepted: I am God’s friend, I am united in spirit with the Lord, I have been redeemed and forgiven.
I am secure: I am a citizen of Heaven, I am free from condemnation, I cannot be separated from God, I have been given a spirit of power and love, God gives me mercy and grace.
I am significant: I am God’s temple, I may approach God with freedom and confidence and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
