“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 3:14-15
When I was younger I loved to play paintball. I probably would still be playing if I was not such an easy target these days. There was a principle that I learned very quickly on the paint field. Nobody likes to get hit with a silicone ball flying at 250 feet per second. It stings pretty bad at times. I used this principle to my advantage. If I ran out of paintballs I would run at people firing my Paintball gun as if it were loaded. I defeated some without ever shooting paint at them. All I would have to do is yell at them to surrender once I got close enough. It is amazing at how many just ball up and give up. What saddens me is how many Christians act this way when the enemy yells at us to surrender when he has no paint in his gun either.
Our country seems to be dominated by fear. When I look around I see men and women afraid to try something because of the great unknown. We are handing our rights as Americans over for a false sense of security from the government. I have seen churches stop activities because the insurance and liability may be too much. I see Christians afraid to tell their friends and family Jesus because they are fearful. Satan is having his fun having Christians surrender because men are afraid to do what is right.
Remember Jesus exposed and disarmed the enemy when he was on the cross. Our accusers were defeated! They are shooting with blanks and we are running or giving up as if they are real. This country was once hated because we stood up to do the right thing. We no longer stand but bow down to anybody’s complaint.
“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.” Dale Carnegie
