“To the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves” (Ephesians 1:6).
In the Old Testament God promised redemption to His people, “I will heal their waywardness and love them freely” (Hosea 14:4).
We have all sinned and fall short of His glory, yet God is merciful, and “will freely pardon” (Isaiah 55:7). Through Christ Jesus, we are “justified freely by His grace” (Romans 3:24).
He knows our struggle to comprehend it all, and generously pours more of Himself through His Holy Spirit—even though we may continue in unbelief and disobedience.
Even if we are not sure we love Him, His offer still stands. He loves us freely and unconditionally. We do not deserve His forgiveness, but His grace through His Son is free to all—without merit on our part and without reservation on His. If we could earn it, it would not be free!
He who has given everything, even His very life, will continue calling until the final darkness falls over this age and eternity begins: “Come, receive My love freely.”
His love is unlike any other. No matter what we have done, He can give us a new beginning through Jesus—a second chance, third, and more. Even now, when we stumble He races toward us, freely offering His love, forgiveness, and grace. Won’t you accept His invitation to fall into His welcoming arms and freely drink in His love and acceptance?
Roy Lessin wrote in his blog (7-20-11):
You may not have a lot of money, but you have incredible wealth. You may not have an abundance of things, but you possess more than you could ever ask or think. God has placed within you the greatest treasure anyone can ever possess—it is the life of Jesus Christ. You have, living within you, the beauty of His holiness, the kindness of His grace, the freedom of His truth, the compassion of His mercy, the greatness of His power, and the riches of His love. He has freely lavished upon you a treasure house of blessings that you can freely give away to others.
Receive God’s love, soak it in, then give it to others—freely!
Worship, praise, and adoration,
All are due to Jesus’ name.
Freely give your heart’s devotion,
Constantly His love proclaim. –Anonymous
