“To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ.†NASB
I recall a song from my childhood:
I know a man, rich as a King
Still he won’t give his neighbors a thing.
His time will come, this you can bet
He’ll get to Heaven and here’s what he’ll get.
He’ll get a rusty old halo,
    A skinny white cloud
Some broken-down wings full of patches
A robe that’s so wooly it scratches.
But, you say: “ I’m not wealthy, I can barely pay my billsâ€. Or, you say: “sure, we are comfortable; but we need to be very careful, because we don’t know what the future holds.â€
Ah, but we are rich. As Christians, we are children of God. Therefore, we are the children of the King!
I John 3:1: “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us that we should be called children of God…..â€NKJV. And in Ephesians 3:8 Paul tells us he is allowed to preach to us the unsearchable riches of Christ. We are wealthy indeed if we have accepted Jesus as Savior, King, and Lord of our lives.
In later devotions, we will discuss how to share the wealth that we have in Christ Jesus. Witnessing is as simple as telling others who Jesus is and what He has done for us.
Even as children, we have been taught to share. It’s our responsibility and duty and privilege to share the wealth…..our riches untold in Christ!
