The acts of the flesh are obvious…envy…drunkenness…orgies

Envy by definition: is a feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another’s advantages, success, possessions, etc. With a growing sense of discontentment and a corresponding grasping created through covetousness, great harm and damage is done most importantly to yourself but then also to all those who move within the sphere of your influence. The solution to this impending problem is to identify with Paul who himself needed the ‘contentment’ that will rise above the thinking, feeling and acting brought on by envy. Philippians 4:10-13New International Version (NIV) 10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Drunkenness by definition: is being given to intoxication and inebriation being the result. Inebriation is the condition of being tipsy, fuddled and besotted in your thinking, feeling and acting. The end result is that one is stupefied, fearful and even superstitious mentally and emotionally. This is inside and will work its way to the outside, you need and can be rescued. Romans 13:13 (NIV)13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.

Orgies by definition: any actions or proceedings marked by unbridled indulgence of passions or gratification of desires. Such behavior, which is without control, is an act of the flesh which is on the inside has the dynamic. Within the life of the individual, which you are, or the church of which you are a part there must never be any display of unbridled indulgence or the pursuit of gratification which is aimed solely for the achievement of your desires or that of which you are passionate.
